Recovery WednesdayMiles: 23.15 August Total: 337.02 After yesterdays hectic ride, Joanne and I had a very nice and fun ride east of Salem. We took it very slow and even with the 961 feet of elevation gain in the 23 miles, my average heart rate was just 70 bpm and my maximum heart rate was just 104 bpm. The weather was just right tonight, warm without being hot. The sky was nearly empty of clouds and a chrisp, clear blue. We rode by server fields that had been burned recently, and the black ash and the smoke smell were a contrast to the sky.
